From the Full Year 2023 Market Study

BMW Group, which includes not only the BMW brand but also MINI and a handful of Rolls- Royce Spectre models, was the most impressive manufacturer in the closing quarter of the year, seeing its share of the regional BEV market catapult upwards to 11.7 per cent share of the total regional BEV market, with launches such as the BMW IX1 helping. Both the IX1 and I4 models were top 10 models during the final quarter of the year. 2024 will see the estate version of the i5 launched, while 2025 will see the all-new BEV-dedicated Neue Klasse architecture rolled out.  The new architecture will begin with a high-volume Crossover and a saloon in the current 3-Series segment. In total, production of at least six further models are scheduled to start across the Group's global production network during the first 24 months according to the Munich based company.

BMW Group's share of the market came to within 5.2 percentage points of Tesla during the final quarter, indicating perhaps a shift in the market from the next wave of BEV consumers.
