Six in ten Chinese new cars entering Western Europe land in just three markets

According to the latest European Chinese OEM Study published by Schmidt Automotive Research, Q4 2025 saw Chinese OEMs three largest regional volume markets retain their collective penetration of total volumes at the 60% level. Q1 and Q3 levels are inflated by the UK's twice yearly seasonality impact from registration plate changeovers. One quarter of all regional Chinese models landed in the UK in the final quarter followed by 17.5% in Italy and 14.8% in Spain.
