Line graph of Western Europe BEV registrations trends from Feb '20 to May '25. VW Group peaks. Tesla, BMW Group follow. Various colored lines.

Volkswagen Group continues to dominate the Western European new pure electric BEV new passenger car market on a 12-month rolling basis, with volumes heading towards 0.6 million on a 12-month rolling basis, while Tesla continues to see strong negative disintegration in a growing regional BEV market.

Meanwhile, BMW Group remains resilient despite the transition from Gen. 5 to Gen. 6 models still to come. Data illustrates that in the US, BMW were one of the largest recipients of ex-Tesla drivers.

Chinese-brand collective volumes returned upwards on BYD EUROPE's regional push, compensating for other Chinese OEMs' pivot away from BEVs to avoid tariff headwinds.
